What is Giant Tiger’s Return/Refund Policy for Online Orders?

If you placed an online order and would like to return your online order via our online warehouse, please contact the Customer Service team and provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return and the reason why you are returning (e.g., defective, not what you expected). A Customer Service representative will provide you with a prepaid shipping label for you to return the item to our warehouse. In order to send the item(s) back, please ensure your parcel is securely packed, wrapped and reinforced. Your refund will be processed within 7-10 business days of arrival at our warehouse. Your refund will include the paid price (price minus discounts) of the item, shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.

What is Giant Tiger’s Exchange Policy for Online Orders?

For online purchases, we currently do not offer exchanges. We require you to return the original order and place a new order.

What is Giant Tiger’s Return/Refund Policy for In-Store Purchases?

Our promise: satisfaction guaranteed or your money cheerfully refunded with the presentation of sales receipt — no time limit. Refunds may be made at any of our locations. Please note all tobacco, lottery, undergarments (underwear, swimwear bottoms, bodysuits, 1-piece bathing suits), disposable and reusable masks (defective masks can be exchanged) and gift cards are final sale.

In the event you do not have your receipt, the store would issue an in-store gift card for the product’s current value which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location. No-receipt returns will require customer identification.

Giant Tiger also offers a Happiness Guarantee with our children’s fashion lines. If you are not completely satisfied with your kids' clothing purchase, simply return it along with your receipt and we’ll cheerfully refund your money.

What is Giant Tiger’s Coupon Policy?

We will gladly accept coupons provided they meet the following criteria:

  • Coupons are accepted only if the store carries the item
  • Coupons must be presented at the time of purchase
  • The item purchased must match the item presented on the coupon (identical in size, quantity, brand, style, etc.)
  • The expiration date must be listed and coupons must be redeemed before the expiry date on the coupon
  • Coupons must have a scannable barcode

Number of Coupons That Can Be Used for Each Item:

  • Only one acceptable coupon may be presented for each item purchased within a transaction.
  • The store reserves the right to limit quantities where multiple coupons are used for multiple purchases of the same item.

Free Merchandise with a Coupon (e.g., BOGO: Buy One Get One):

  • No sales tax is applied on free merchandise.

When Coupon Value Exceeds the Price of the Item:

  • If the value of the coupon exceeds the price of the item (including taxes), the excess value of the coupon is applied against the transaction total for all other items purchased (after taxes). Any remaining coupon value after the excess value has been applied against the transaction total for all other items purchased (after taxes) is not paid out as cash.
  • In addition, the following requirements must be met on each of the types of accepted coupon offers below.

Giant Tiger Coupons: Email/Web/Facebook/GT Dollars Coupons Issued by Giant Tiger Are Accepted By:

  • Presenting the coupon on a mobile device for the cashier to scan the barcode; or
  • Presenting a printed coupon, which must contain a clear and scannable barcode.

Internet/Manufacturer's Coupons:

  • The coupon must have manufacturer's instructions to the retailer as well as a Canadian remittance address.
  • Only Canadian coupons are accepted.
  • Only printed coupons are accepted.


  • Stores have the right to refuse any coupons that appear to be photocopied, scanned or altered.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accept coupons for online purchases.
