In-Store Purchases

Simply return the item in its original packaging to the store, with your receipt. In the event you do not have your receipt, the store would issue an in-store gift card for the product’s current value—which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location. No-receipt returns will require customer identification.

Online Purchases Can Be Returned to Store or Via Our Online Warehouse

Returns to Store

This is the fastest way to receive your refund. Simply return your online purchase to a local Giant Tiger location. You must present your confirmation email or the packing slip that came with the shipped item(s). If these are not available, you will be offered a merchandise credit in the form of an in-store gift card, for the item if the store can confirm it is a Giant Tiger product. The in-store gift card issued would be for the product’s current value—which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location.

Note: Oversized items (in excess of 45kg) purchased on cannot be returned to store. Please contact our Customer Service team to make arrangements.

Returns to Warehouse

If you wish to return an item you purchased online directly to the warehouse, please contact our Customer Service team and provide your order number; the item(s) you wish to return; and reason why you are returning (item is defective or item does not work; not what you expected; bought by mistake). A Customer Service representative will provide you with a prepaid shipping label for you to return the item to our warehouse. In order to send the item(s) back, please ensure your parcel is securely packed, wrapped and reinforced. Your refund will be processed within 7-10 business days of arrival at our warehouse. Your refund will include the paid price (price minus discounts) of the item, shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.

When shipping a return, you must include the original or copy of the packing list. Be sure to save copies for your records.

Note: Items purchased at Giant Tiger stores as well as Online Grocery Pickup orders may not be returned to our online warehouse.


Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges for online purchases at this time. For products purchased in-store, exchanges are based on availability of product.

1Undergarments: Bras, and swim tops such as tankini and bikini tops are not to be classified as undergarments and will be refunded. Underwear, bodysuits, bikini bottoms and 1-piece bathing suits are final sales.

2Masks: Defective masks can be exchanged
