I Have an Issue with a Product

We take product quality issues and safety seriously. In order for us to investigate further, please contact our Customer Service team and provide the following details so we can resolve your order issue efficiently:

  • Full name or detailed description of item
  • SKU or the UPC code
  • Lot code/best before date (grocery items)
  • Copy of your receipt

We will escalate the issue with our buying team, internal business partners and vendor manufacturers. Once we receive the details, we will investigate your concern, please allow us 2-3 business days to follow up with you again.

What is the Warranty on Electronic Items?

Your receipt is your warranty. We suggest you keep your receipts in a safe place. The warranty period will vary for each item. If a problem arises within the warranty time, bring the item with the receipt to the nearest store for assistance. Please return the item in its original package whenever possible.

Giant Tiger is committed to abiding by the Scanner Price Accuracy Code also known as the Scanning Code of Practice and is a recognized partner with the Retail Council of Canada. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Customer Service team and they’d be happy to assist you.

The Item I Purchased Has a Lower Price Now; Will Giant Tiger Honour the Lower Price?

For in-store purchases/customers, if the price has been lowered within 14 days of the original purchase, our stores would be happy to offer a refund for the difference via the original method of payment. Please note you must have your receipt.

For online purchases/customers, if the price has been lowered within 14 days of the original purchase, please contact our Customer Service team with the order number and SKU/item number. We would be happy to offer a credit on your online order, this will be in the form of a refund via the original method of payment. Please note, the credit will take 7-10 business days dependent on your financial institution to show up on your banking statement.
