How Do I Make an In-Store Return?

In-Store Purchases

Simply return the item in its original packaging to the store, with your receipt. In the event you do not have your receipt, the store would issue an in-store gift card for the product’s current value—which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location. No-receipt returns will require customer identification.

Online Purchases, Returning to a Store

Simply return your online purchase to a local Giant Tiger location. You must present your confirmation email or the packing slip that came with the shipped item(s). If these are not available, you will be offered a merchandise credit in the form of an in-store gift card, for the item if the store can confirm it is a Giant Tiger product. The in-store gift card issued would be for the product’s current value—which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location. Oversized items (over 45 kg) purchased online cannot be returned to a store. Please contact our Customer Service team to make other arrangements.

To find out about the availability of a particular product, please visit the store and inquire at the Customer Service desk or speak with a department supervisor. If shopping online, search for the product you’re looking for in the search bar. Once you’re on the product page, you will see if the item is in stock at your preferred store on the right side of the screen. What Should I Do If I Cannot Find an Item in the Store?

Ask to speak to a department supervisor, who will assist you in locating the item or suggest a substitute. Please note, many of our items are one-time opportunities and cannot be reordered. You can also check out our website to see if the product is available at other stores or for home shipping. Simply search for the product in the search bar and once you’re on the product page, the information will be on the right side of the screen. What Should I Do If I Experience a Problem in a Store?
